Over the last few years, Tiffany Stratton has become one of WWE’s most popular new stars. The former gymnast quickly became a building block of NXT and helped to elevate their women’s division, including in a highly entertaining feud with division legend Becky Lynch.
However, success for the black-and-gold brand doesn’t always mean it will continue under the main roster spotlight. However, over the last year, the 25-year-old has been given some high-profile opportunities and excelled. Despite being a villain, her undeniable talent and charisma have cultivated a pretty sizable fanbase among the WWE Universe.
And it seems you can add New York Yankees shortstop Anthony Volpe to that group of Stratton admirers.
Anthony Volpe tried to slip into Tiffany Stratton’s DMs?
This week, an eagle-eyed fan noticed something interesting in the comments of one of the Smackdown stars’ posts on Instagram. It was a comment that read, “Check your DMs” with a wink and fire emoji. Yet this was no ordinary civilian that posted the message. It was Yankees star Anthony Volpe.
It seems the talented young star liked what he saw and was looking to get to know the wrestler a bit better on a more personal level. However, he likely did not realize that Stratton was already taken. The current women’s champ has been in a long-term relationship with WWE Raw star Ludwig Kaiser for quite some time.
While he is doing well in the field this season for the Yankees, it looks like Volpe won’t be making any progress with the WWE superstar.
