It has been confirmed that Hall of Famer Mick Foley has been signed to a brand new WWE Legends deal.

I could almost argue here that the big news is that somehow he may have gone some time not under a WWE Legends deal. But, regardless of all that, there is a new deal in place. Foley was talking not that long ago about actually wanting a farewell match. That was a bit scary, considering how much his hardcore style has taken a toll on his body. But, it seems quite likely that with a new deal inked, there won’t be any wrestling in Foley’s future anymore.
Foley is signed
Per Fightful, the deal was recently signed. The news comes out after Mick Foley made some interesting (in a good way) comments about now-former WWE boss Vince McMahon. His comments come just ahead of the Netflix special “Mr. McMahon“. The former WWE champion noted that he was reserving judgement until every detail comes out. He noted that what he has been accused of, and what’s been alleged, is unfortunate and disappointing. And yet, he also was fair to say that he-and many others-are right to separate Vince McMahon the promoter from Vince McMahon the likely criminal.
Meaning, no matter how you feel about what Vince McMahon may have done, so much has happened to so many Superstars because of Vince. Like it or not, someone like Foley doesn’t reach the heights he did without McMahon. I felt like Foley’s comments were quite diplomatic, and perhaps that was because he was doing his best to navigate signing that new deal? Or he was just being very sharp.

As for the deal he has signed? Per the report, no wrestling is included. What seems to be in there is the usual merchandise, video games and other appearances. Does not seem we will get much (if any) Foley on WWE programming, but we can hope for the occasional surprise. After all, WWE did just announce that Saturday Night’s Main Event is coming back in December. And that first SNME? That comes from Long Island, New York. Which, in case you could forget, is Foley’s home. Why do I feel like we should see the hardcore legend then and there?
