LA Knight would be open to a WWE release if the company doesn’t intend to insert him into the main event picture.
The former United States Champion has been one of the best examples of perseverance in WWE over the last decade. After being handed an awful manager character despite a notable run in TNA and NXT, Knight overcame the bad hand he was given and became one of the company’s most popular performers.

He has taken part in a WWE title feud with former champ Roman Reigns. And is now a two-time US champ. Yet, it seems like he has plateaued and is not close to moving into the main event picture anytime soon. It is a fact that has frustrated Knight’s fans. Well, it looks like the WWE star is bothered by his current position as well.
In a new post on his Instagram account, a fan tagged WWE and head of creative Paul “Triple H” Levesque in a post that demanded, “Put Knight in the main event scene or let him go be the main event talent he is elsewhere.”
Knight saw the reply and surprisingly liked the message. There have been rumblings for some time that the SmackDown star wants to be elevated. And he has stated publicly his desire to be a top star in the company.
Despite his popularity and merchandise sales, he will not compete on either night of SummerSlam this weekend.
