After the Olympics, the athletes sometimes have trouble adjusting to life after the limelight is gone. It seems like many rely on coaching or opening a gym. There are a few who have tried to enter pro wrestling, with success varying. Kurt Angle probably made the transition better than anyone else. He quickly picked-up the business and is considered one of the best to to enter the ring.

As expected, his broken neck and various other injuries played a heavy tole on his body. Therefore, he relied on painkillers and alcohol to feel somewhat normal. It resulted in a terrible drug addiction and several arrests. Now, it seems like Angle is doing better in retirement. He was offered to manage Matt Riddle, but declined.

During a virtual signing with K&S WrestleFest, Kurt Angle revealed a WWE return can happen if he can manage American Made (Chad Gable, Creed Brothers and Ivy Nile). “If the money was right [I would come back to manage a faction],” said Angle. “I think Chad and his gang that he has right now, that would be a great idea. I wouldn’t mind doing a spot here and there. But, if you’re gonna ask me to do a wrestling match, it’s just not gonna happen. Yeah, I could take some bumps.”

After Gable re-signed with WWE, he had been working opposite the Wyatt Sicks. Angle has not done much in wrestling since retiring about five years ago. He had a short retirement tour before losing to Baron Corbin in his final match. Few liked him losing against Corbin in the end. So, do you want to see Kurt Angle make a WWE return?
