John Cena has always held former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon in high regard. And it seems his former bosses ongoing lawsuits have not changed his opinion about him.
“I don’t care who hears it: I love Vince. I’m not downplaying anything that needs to be decided or allegations of any kind, but when I love somebody, I love them wholeheartedly,” Cena told The New York Times. “I know people are going to be angry about that, but they can’t put their value on my relationship with somebody I love.”
Vince McMahon resigned from WWE’s parent company, TKO, last year. This came after former WWE employee Janel Grant accused her and John Laurinitis of sex trafficking and sexual misconduct. WWE distanced itself from McMahon, and many people had a change of opinion following the allegations.

However, the 16-time world champion has always credited McMahon for his successful WWE career. As Cody Rhodes mentioned recently in a promo exchange with Cena, McMahon handpicked him to be the face of WWE after witnessing his rise. Therefore, it makes sense for the wrestling legend to have his admiration for McMahon still intact.
John Cena is looking to create history this weekend at WrestleMania 41. He will headline Night 2 of the show in a blockbuster WWE title match against Rhodes. With this being his last WrestleMania as an in-ring performer, he is looking to set a new record by winning his 17th World Championship.
With a new and mean attitude and thinking only about himself, it remains to be seen if Cena would successfully ruin wrestling for everyone and dethrone Rhodes for the title.
