Major Update On John Cena’s Final Match Emerges, Including Date And Location

It looks like John Cena’s final match will come close to home and at a classic event in December.

The 17-time world champ is set to wrestle his last match this December at Boston’s TD Garden, according to WCVB. While WWE hasn’t officially announced the date or the event, the signs are pointing to a career-ending homecoming in front of Cena’s Massachusetts fans.

Saturday Night Main Event reportedly could be held in Boston on December 13th, according to Cory Hays of PWNexus. The WWE icon has 24 dates left in what he’s calling his final year in the ring, with some big stops ahead:

  • May 24: WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event (Tampa, FL)
  • May 30: WWE SmackDown (Knoxville, TN)
  • June 7: WWE Money in the Bank (Los Angeles, CA)
  • August 31: WWE Clash in Paris (Paris, France)
  • October 11: WWE Crown Jewel (Perth)

Back in July 2024, John Cena announced during Money in the Bank in Toronto that 2025 would be his retirement year — a chance to say goodbye to fans all over the world and thank them in every way possible. So far, it’s been everything fans could hope for.

Now with Boston on the horizon for his final match, the stage is set for something special. Where it all began and where it’ll all end , the perfect full-circle moment for one of WWE’s all-time greats.

John Cena’s farewell tour has already turned epic with his heel turn. Last night at WWE Backlash, he retained his title in a big match against his longtime rival Randy Orton.
