After a scary moment on this week’s edition of WWE Raw, former tag champion JD McDonagh revealed an update on his health and it seems he suffered some serious injuries.
JD McDonagh has become an impactful member of the Monday Night Raw faction Judgement Day. While there was some early resistance from a certain former member of the group, Finn Balor’s pal has put his body on the line countless times for the benefit of the team.

It has paid off in the long run as McDonagh and Balor became tag champions last year. However, their reign came to an end in the final weeks of 2024 and they have not been able to regain the gold since. With Balor MIA, McDonagh attempted to win the titles back on this week’s edition of Raw on Netflix and teamed with Dominik Mysterio.
The Judgement Day duo came up short on Monday. However, the biggest story from the match was how JD McDonagh somehow recovered from a nasty spill on the outside of the ring and finished the bout unfazed. Well, it seems that the Irishman battled through some notable injuries he incurred to finish his job this week.
JD McDonagh suffered a punctured lung on WWE Raw?
“First off, thanks to everyone for the messages and the concern. I’m good,” McDonagh wrote in a post on X last night. “I’ve got a couple of broken ribs and a punctured lung, so I’m going to be out for a couple of months. All things considered, it could have been a lot worse, so I’m grateful for that. See ya in a bit. 🤘🏻”
McDonagh’s back violently hit the announcer’s table after landing a successful moonsault to the outside on War Raiders member Ivar. It made his head whiplash back and created immediate concern from those ringside and fans. However, he quickly returned to the match and received grateful applause from fans in Atlanta.
There is a chance JD McDonagh could be playing up the injury for storyline purposes. However, it would not be at all surprising if they are legitimate ailments. The time frame for recovery from broken ribs and a punctured long range from 6 to 8 weeks. So it is likely he will miss the next two months of action.
