Tuesday was a big moment in American politics. Donald Trump delivered the political equivalent of Brock Lesnar’s beating of John Cena at SummerSlam when he took down Kamala Harris. And while a lot of things have been said and done in the days since his victory, here’s something else to consider. Could Donald Trump’s win help Vince McMahon? The question makes some sense when you consider the pair’s past, but could the most powerful person in the world really throw Vince McMahon a lifeline?

In theory, yes. Presidential pardons are the most obvious thing that come to mind. And, as of early 2025, barring something crazy, Trump will once again be the President of the United States. Meaning, if Trump wants to pardon the man that made him a WWE Hall of Famer, he totally could. He also would have influence over the Department of Justice, which is involved in the case against the former WWE big boss. These theories, the possibility of Donald Trump helping Vince McMahon, comes courtesy of Dave Meltzer.

My honest perspective here? Given everything else Trump will have to deal with on day one of term two? I can’t really see Trump prioritizing Vince McMahon’s legal troubles. However, there is a wildcard here. While everything he has done and is in trouble for would irk most wives, Linda McMahon is…different. Linda has spent time in politics and has been friends with Trump. So friendly, in fact, that she donated over $10 million to Trump’s 2024 re-election effort. She is a quiet member of what you might call the Donald’s inner circle. So, could that amount of political donations result in Linda calling in a favor for her cheating husband?

That remains to be seen, but it does bear some watching.
