The spear is a notable piece of the arsenal for WWE main eventers like Roman Reigns and Jey Uso. However, the originator of the move, Goldberg, would like to see them cease using it.
Bill Goldberg left a lasting impression on wrestling fans during his iconic run in WCW and WWE. His intensity has been mirrored by many wrestlers who followed him. However, maybe the most enduring element of his time in the industry was turning the spear into one of the most devastating moves in pro wrestling.

Over the last decade, many performers have started to use it. However, the most prominent to make it a featured part of their move set are Roman Reigns, Jey Uso, and Charlotte Flair. Well, it seems Goldberg isn’t a fan of them using the move. And he says there is only one member of the roster he would sign off on using the spear.

“I had the conversation last night with Bron [Breakker]. And I told him my feelings on it. I think 1000% he’s the only human being in the WWE that should be doing that,” the WWE Hall of Famer told Shak Wrestling [h/t Wrestle Purists]. “I know I’m going to catch a lot of hell from that. But I don’t care because that’s the truth. It is what it is.“
It must be noted, Goldberg has a long relationship with the former Intercontinental Champion. He has known him since he was a kid via his friendship with his father, Rick Steiner, and uncle, Scott Steiner. Of the various stars who use the move, few would deny Breakker’s version is the most impressive and entertaining.
However, with it being a major move for someone like Reigns for over a decade, it his highly unlikely he will stop using it any time soon.
