WWE has had many second and third generations of talent compete in the company, and the offspring of the 2025 class of the WWE Hall of Fame is hoping to eventually add themselves to that long list.
During WrestleMania 41 week, one of the prime attractions was the 2025 WWE Hall of Fame ceremony. The illustrious tag team of Earthquake and Typhoon, the Natural Disasters, were inducted into the Hall. The ceremony also saw Earthquake’s daughter, Joanna Tenta, reflect on her father’s legacy in her speech.
Well, it also seems like she now wants to carry on her father’s legacy inside the ring. In an appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show, she revealed that she was training to become a professional wrestler and be a new generation of Tenta in the business.
“When I was younger, I used to love watching wrestling,” she said. “When I was 15, I told my dad that I wanted to do what he did. I wanted to become a professional wrestler. After he died, I stopped watching wrestling for almost 17 years. I tuned back in during WrestleMania 39 and remembered why I loved wrestling so much.”
A year later, Joanna decided to begin her wrestling training and believed that it helped her form a special bond with her late father again.
“In June 2024, I decided that, even though I was older now, I wanted to learn and train to be a pro wrestler for the joy of it, so I’ve learned so much about how to trust in my body, to believe in myself to work hard, but most importantly and what I sought after is that is has formed a new and special connection with my dad.”
