Drew McIntyre recently teased a massive project with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson that will be “big.”
In April 2024, McIntyre re-signed with WWE and The Rock announced it publicly. To celebrate, McIntyre got a Scottish Claymore sword from The Rock. That’s how close they are.
The January 2025 WWE RAW on Netflix gave us another look into their relationship. Backstage footage showed McIntyre talking to The Rock and the people’s champ responded with “Understood” and “I’ll take care of that”. This has sparked a lot of speculation about a possible collaboration or storyline between the two.

Backstage Exchange Fuels Speculation
In a new interview with the YouTube channel Adam’s Apple, McIntyre spoke about this exchange. He said he asked The Rock for a “little favor” and The Rock is working on it. While details are unknown, McIntyre’s comments only added to the hype among fans to see what this favor is.
He added, “I got a chance to talk with him at Elimination Chamber and there’s a few things on the horizon, they’re going to be pretty big once it becomes public.”
It’s not new. The Rock has been supporting McIntyre since the early days of his career. He often gives him advice and publicly praises him. McIntyre has expressed gratitude for that and said The Rock has “always looked out for me since the very beginning of my career”.
