WWE Hall of Famer Diamond Dallas Page believes Dominik Mysterio could be a huge money maker for the company when he eventually makes the switch to baby face status.
Multi-time WCW world champion DDP knows a lot about what works with wrestling fans. Despite becoming a wrestler at a very advanced age, he quickly connected with audiences and was in some of the biggest storylines of the era. That is why when he vouches for the upside in certain talent, it holds a lot of weight. And he is a big fan of WWE Intercontinental Champion Dom Mysterio.
“Did you not feel the crowd when Mysterio went over at Mania?” Page told Casino Bets. “Did you not feel the entire crowd turning him babyface? Like the kid’s gonna be a hell of a baby face when he makes that flip. Hold onto that heel thing as long as you can. Because when he flips, I’ll tell you what, that’s a kid I’m a big fan of.
“I am personally a big fan of how hard he’s worked to get to this spot. Whoever was in charge of making that happen they are a kingmaker because that kid has got it all. It was interesting because he’s the biggest heel, and yet at that last WrestleMania, boy, you swear to God he was the biggest baby face of the company.”
Mysterio has gotten some of the loudest hate in WWE from fans over the last two years. However, his all-around improvements in that time are undeniable. And it seems the audience and legends of the industry have taken note and admire his efforts.
