At Clash At The Castle, Cody Rhodes defeated AJ Styles in an I Quit Match to end their feud. The champ did not even make it to the back before his next challenger emerged. We saw The Bloodline go after Rhodes, who was saved by Randy Orton and Kevin Owens. Those six could wrestle, but Solo Sikoa against Rhodes looks to be the idea for Money in the Bank or SummerSlam.

The newest member of The Bloodline was revealed on SmackDown, when Jacob Fatu went after Cody. It saw Fatu put Rhodes through the announce table courtesy of a splash off the top rope. It looked painful and we learned during a live event that Rhodes broke 2 ribs as he addressed the crowd following his win over Shinsuke Nakamura. “The loyal WWE fans saw what happened on SmackDown,” said Rhodes. “So, before you hear from anybody else, a little scoop for you Bloomington. Last night, I did break 2 of my ribs.”

Cody Rhodes Seems Okay

If Cody was able to work the live event, he should be fine to continue his program with Solo. Now, WWE might want to be careful and have him not wrestle until a pay per view arrives. It just seems smart to let Cody heal. Although, he will want to wrestle injured.

Since winning the title from Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40, Rhodes has become WWE’s top star. He travels everywhere and is embracing his role as a leader. I do wonder if his match with Solo will see Reigns return. We should know what WWE has planned before summer ends. So, do you think the broken bones will slow Cody Rhodes down?
