With some fans questioning CM Punk working for a MAGA (Make America Great Again) leaning company, the WWE legend had a strong response to the discussion.
“I’m supposed to quit my job because someone on Twitter says WWE is a ‘MAGA company’? Okay,” he said. “You’re on Lord Elon Musk’s Twitter saying stupid sh**. Shut the f*** up. I don’t think the company wants us to be outwardly political. I do feel there are probably different rules for different people.”
The Best in the World said politics rarely come up backstage. His conversations with Triple H, Paul Heyman, and rising stars like Roxanne Perez are all about wrestling.

“It’s 24/7 wrestling. I think it’s pretty obvious what my ‘politics’ are… If you’re wearing hats and shirts promoting the President and all that stuff; we’ve very much seen recently all these people who have voted against their best interests because they thought this President was just going to do bad, stupid sh** to the people they don’t like,” said Punk.
“… The only thing I can do is be true to myself and be a voice for my family and my community.”
His comments come at a time when politics in wrestling is a hot topic. In a recent Vanity Fair profile, Roman Reigns — a registered Democrat — said he supports Donald Trump, calling him “a world leader.”
“At this point, I’m supporting a bright future for our country. Positive and competent leadership,” Reigns said. “For us to be what we’re supposed to be—to be a world leader and carry that respect and do what a world power like us should be doing.”
