Charlotte Flair and Asuka are two of the greatest female WWE performers of all time and they have both been sidelined for months with injuries. However, a pair of new reports shed some light on when they could be back in a WWE ring.
It has been a very long time since WWE fans last saw women’s division legend, Charlotte Flair. In a December match on Smackdown, the multi-time champion suffered a major knee injury. She reportedly incurred torn ACL, MCL, and meniscus ligaments and needed serious reconstructive surgery.

The setback was expected to keep her out for close to a year and it looks like that guesstimate was not far off. On Monday, X account and Pro Wrestling Nexus insider Viper claimed that sources have told them Charlotte Flair is expected to be back in action by November.
That may be a very safe guess and possibly based on internal WWE plans. Flair posted a new video on her social accounts a couple of weeks ago that showed her back training in a ring and looking not too far off from a return to action.
Asuka’s WWE return will come far after Charlotte Flair’s
Similar to Flair, fellow legend Asuka also suffered a notable knee injury in March, just weeks before WrestleMania 40. She worked through the issue for a month but was forced to go under the knife soon after. No timeline for her return was revealed earlier this year.
And it seems a surprise round of rumors made their way online recently with suggestions the Japanese great was quietly released by the company. The PW Nexus insider dispelled those rumors on Monday by denying Asuka was released from WWE.
In their report, they also revealed when Asuka may be back, and it will be well after Charlotte Flair. “She is not expected back on WWE TV this year.”
