As Bron Breakker makes his way up the WWE ladder, the Intercontinental Champion has found guidance from one of the most respected minds in the business: Paul Heyman.
In a recent interview with SHAK Wrestling, Breakker talked about his new work relationship with Heyman. It was revealed recently that WWE executive Paul “Triple H” Levesque assigned the Hall of Famer to be the rising star’s mentor. Helping him with his development in front of the camera. However, this isn’t the first time Heyman has worked with a member of the Steiner family.
“He goes back generations with my family,” Breakker said. “Paul worked with my dad [Rick Steiner] and my uncle [Scott Steiner] back in the day.”
That history helped quickly shape the mentorship Breakker gets from the ECW founder today. “As soon as I got called up and was sort of getting brought into the business at that level. He saw something in me, and we started building a friendship and building rapport.”
Bron Breakker says Paul Heyman is ‘the greatest of all time’
Bron Breakker wasn’t shy about his admiration for Paul Heyman. Calling the man that has managed Brock Lesnar, CM Punk, and Roman Reigns, an irreplaceable influence on his development.
“I love working with him. He’s amazing,” he said. “He is the greatest of all time. Being able to work with him is a gift because the wealth of knowledge that he carries is unparalleled to anyone or anything else… It’s insane how much that he knows, and to the highest level that he knows.”
Heyman’s guidance, according to Breakker, covers everything from in-ring work to character development and professional mindset.
“What he’s able to teach me every week is just insane. About how to go about my craft, how to carry myself, or, the direction that we’re headed and where my character needs to be at a certain point,” Breakker said. “He’s the best, man.”
