Bret Hart Reveals Dream Opponent On Current WWE Roster And It’s Not Gunther Or CM Punk

WWE legend Bret Hart was recently asked which member of the current roster he would have loved to wrestle in his prime, and the answer may surprise many WWE fans.

When it comes to the greatest pro wrestling mat technicians, Bret Hart is a name that usually lands on almost every list on the topic. The “Excellence of Execution” prided himself on being able to put on good matches with any opponent. Make his moves look believable. And also keep his co-workers safe.

Any time he is asked about the talents of current wrestlers, his opinion holds a lot of weight. Especially when interested fans or media inquire about which talents on the current WWE roster he would love to wrestle if he was still in his prime. It was something he was asked about during a recent chat with the folks from The Wrestling Classic YouTube channel.

However, while many would assume that stars like Gunther, AJ Styles, CM Punk, or Cody Rhodes would be his likely choice, the multi-time WWE and WCW champion had an answer that many fans may not have expected.

Bret Hart calls Rey Mysterio one of the greatest wrestlers of all time

“If I could pick one guy it would be Rey Mysterio,” Hart said. “I always forget Rey Mysterio, but I think he is one of the greatest wrestlers of all time. He’s right up there as the best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be. He’s really good. Just really special. No one can do what Rey Mysterio does.”

It is true. The former WWE champion does not get talked about enough as one of the greatest performers of all time. Despite his size, he could put on amazing matches with opponents of any size, and he is the greatest luchador of all time.

Even at 49, the WWE Hall-of-Famer is still performing at a high level with wrestlers half his age.
