Becky Lynch Responds For The First Time To Being Nicknamed ‘Becky Hogan’ By WWE Fans

Becky Lynch returned at WrestleMania 41 after an extended hiatus that lasted nearly a year. She replaced Bayley as Lyra Valkyria’s tag team partner in a match against Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships. Upon winning the titles, fans immediately began to call her by a new name, “Becky Hogan.”

This was a direct nod to Hulk Hogan. He was famous for using his backstage influence and star power to insert himself in the title picture. And turn things in his favor. “Big Time Becks” was told about the nickname that the internet gave her, and she did not hold back at all.

“I’m a bad guy? I’m the bad guy? All I’ve ever done is be kind — lovely, even — to people. That’s the kind of person I am. And after all of that, people go around and compare me to the scummiest person on earth? After everything I’ve done for them? So now I’m the bad guy? I’m supposed to sit here and take it even though I haven’t done anything wrong? I broke through the glass ceiling. I changed the game.”

Becky Lynch – RAW Recap

Despite the internet trolling her for stealing the opportunity, “The Man remains” unconcerned. And is focused on a huge upcoming opportunity. She turned on Lyra Valkyria after the duo lost the tag titles back to Morgan and Rodriguez on the RAW after WrestleMania 41. Following a heated exchange, Valkyria agreed to put her WWE Women’s Intercontinental title on the line against Lynch at Backlash this Saturday.

With the stage set for a major matchup, it will be exciting to see if Becky Lynch can dethrone Lyra Valkyria and take her revenge for losing to her at the 2023 NXT Halloween Havoc.
