WWE women’s division legend Bayley revealed recently that she does not have much more time left on her current contract with the company.
Speaking to Chris Van Vliet in Las Vegas, the 35-year-old talked about her current mindset, the time left on her contract, and how the next generation of talent has changed her perspective. “I have a year and a half left on this current contract, so we’ll see what happens then,” Bayley said.
“I think I’ve done everything I really want to do — not everything,” she added. “There’s still a lot I want to get done. But I’ve done so much with WWE, and I’ve been here for already 12 years. When I was younger, I always thought 35 would be my cutoff. In my opinion, guys can go forever, but it’s not that cute when you’re a woman and you’re 35.”

Yet, now that she’s hit that career milestone, the Grand Slam champion sees things differently. “We’re still main eventing. We’re still doing red carpets. People still care about us.”
She credited veterans like Natalya, Naomi, and Tamina as locker room leaders who have changed her mindset. “Even if I’m not wrestling every week, I have something I can bring to the locker room, just like they do.”
As for whether she’ll walk away when her contract is up, Bayley didn’t say. But she echoed John Cena’s past comments about leaving the business in good hands. “The goal was to just leave it in a better place than you found it.”
