After months of waiting, we can finally talk about backstage reaction to international Superstar Giulia’s NXT arrival, and what comes next?

At one point she was one of the hot international free agents. Then it was considered a virtual lock that she was WWE bound. The company had her in attendance at shows over WrestleMania weekend in Philadelphia-during which she got plenty of nice reactions. Her signing was made officially official, but she wasn’t quite ready to arrive. First, she had arranged to help her friend launch the MARIGOLD promotion, which she has. And, during that effort, she sustained a wrist injury. Her new employers, WWE urged her to get surgery to ensure a full recovery.
And now she’s in NXT.
We knew we would see Giulia right into a title feud. Of course, the rumor had been seeing that happen over the summer-but, you know, those injuries. Instead, Giulia came out in Denver to confront Roxanne, following Perez’s latest title defense. She followed that up by coming out on Tuesday’s NXT, telling Perez that she wanted a match-simply by saying “You. Me. CW”. Having an NXT title match between the two Superstars on the NXT CW debut? In terms of backstage reaction to Giulia’s NXT arrival? According to the Wrestling Observer, WWE officials were said to be very impressed with her debut. Granted, she didn’t say a word. She came out, stared down the champion and that was it. But she did so with an air of confidence and a presence that showed she owned the moment, and she knows-and the fans could tell-her being there was a big deal. Considering the hype she’s come in with, the response all around is as good as can be.
