It was the season premiere of RAW on USA. And, for those keeping score, this will be the last one of those for the near term-RAW moves to Netflix in January. The big show was in Calgary, which is a legendary city in terms of wrestling. The western Canadian town is, of course, the home of the Hart family, by and large. And because WWE ran RAW in Calgary, we saw the return of Natalya, as well as her uncle, Bret “The Hitman” Hart.
The Best There Ever Will Be
It’s been a while since we’ve seen Bret Hart, and a lot has changed in WWE. For one, Triple H is fully in charge and Vince is gone. And, there have been reports of friction between the new boss and The Hitman. The Wrestling Observer gave us a bit more insight into the return. Meltzer acknowledged the friction between the two WWE legends, but made it sound as though WWE wanted to do right by Bret in his home town. At the end of the day, wrestling is business, and Hart in Calgary is good for it.

Interesting enough, there was other reported heat involving Bret Hart and a RAW Superstar. Specifically, one he was in a segment with-current champion Gunther. The two sparred in the ring verbally to help set up Sami Zayn coming and attacking the champ. Whatever heat there was or might be, Gunther enjoyed himself on Monday. He trolled Hart fairly well by calling The Hitman his second favorite WWE Superstar of all time, right behind Bill Goldberg. The issues between Goldberg and Hart are well documented at this point. I have to think if Hart was in better shape. Therefore, he and Goldberg could cash in for a match or two in Saudi Arabia.
