A new report suggests that multi-time WWE women’s champion Alexa Bliss is expected to make her long-awaited return to the company very soon.
Alexa Bliss has had a very unique WWE journey. During her run in NXT, she mainly played a role as a manager to the tag team of Blake and Murphy. When she eventually was promoted to the main roster, she did it as a solo act and had to swim in the deepest side of the pool.
However, she swam like a superstar and became one of the most valuable members of the women’s roster at one time. Winning world titles and being a featured character on WWE television. However, she chose to undergo a dramatic change a few years ago by aligning herself with Bray Wyatt. But as intriguing as the concept seemed, it did not deliver on its promise.
After a run of inconsistent booking, she has missed the last year tending to her newborn child. However, there have been rumblings for months about a potential return to the company. And it seems that time is nearly here.
Alexa Bliss could make WWE return in December or January at the latest
“There’s been a lot of talk about Alexa Bliss in WWE creative circles of late. As PWInsiderElite.com reported several months ago, WWE had Bliss figured in to return after the holiday season,” PW Insider revealed on Thursday. “We are told that remains the case with WWE currently working on when and how Bliss would return to storylines.
“The belief among those we’ve spoken with is that Bliss would likely return by Wrestlemania season, which obviously kicks off with the Royal Rumble, if not sooner.”
It all means the WWE women’s division great could be back on television as soon as next month. With the two brands now having secondary women’s titles, it would be interesting if Bliss aimed for one of those belts. And used her name to help elevate them.
