WWE SmackDown Card and Preview

John Cena has not had it easy these past few weeks. He’s thrown plenty of words at Randy Orton only to be met with resistance and an RKO for his troubles. The frustration is building as he heads into a huge title defense against ‘The Viper’ on Saturday Night. Now, Cena will return to SmackDown to get in one last statement and hopefully get some momentum back on his side. What will the ‘Last Real Champion’ have up his sleeve, his slithery challenger?
The women’s title picture has been heating up as of late. Names such as Jade Cargill, Nia Jax, and Naomi have all gotten into the fray to try and establish themselves as prime contenders for Tiffany Stratton’s WWE Women’s Championship. This week, it’ll be Cargill and Jax facing off in one-on-one action to determine the no. 1 contender for the championship. It’s sure to be an epic clash as two of the most dominant forces in the division step inside the ring. Which woman will come out on top? And will Naomi or Stratton look to make their presence felt somehow?
On Saturday Night, Backlash will also play host to a colossal United States title match as champion Jacob Fatu will be defending against LA Knight, Damian Priest, and Drew McIntyre in a Fatal-4-Way. All four men have made it clear they have no love lost for one another and fully intend to do what it takes to seize the gold. But first, three of the four combatants will be competing in a tag team match that’ll see Knight and Priest team up against Fatu and fellow Bloodline member Solo Sikoa. With so many combustible elements in the ring, this match is set to be an extremely volatile affair.
We can also expect appearances from WWE Tag Team Champions The Street Profits, Chelsea Green, Rey Fenix, and much more!
