- The newly formed alliance of Seth Rollins, Paul Heyman and Bron Breakker were holding court last week when Sami Zayn decided to interrupt. Zayn made it clear he is not a fan of what Rollins is doing and how it mirrors the sins others have committed in the past. Before the night was through, he wound up paying for his actions with a beatdown at the hands of Breakker. What will be the fallout from this confrontation? Will anyone align themselves with Sami to stand up to this burgeoning collective force?
- Rusev addressed the WWE Universe last week, stating his perspective on his time away and what his intentions are going forward. Looking to “fix” those he deems inferior, he will forge a path of righteousness through freakish strength and sheer will. This week, he starts by going one-on-one with Otis. With a renewed focus and drive, these ominous words could be the beginning of a torrential run for the Bulgarian Brute. The roster has been put on notice.
- Becky Lynch had no interest in keeping up the suspense about her recent actions. She freely admitted to attacking Bayley before Wrestlemania and stated her frustrations with Lyra Valkyria. The Valkyrie came out and responded by running down “The Man” and made it clear she no longer admired her but is now looking to surpass her. She challenged Lynch to a match at Backlash with the Women’s Intercontinental Title on the line. Ahead of what is sure to be a fantastic bout, what final actions will either participant take to try and gain an edge?
- Also scheduled this week is a one-on-one match between JD McDonagh and Penta. We can also expect appearances from World Heavyweight Champion Jey Uso, Rhea Ripley, Gunther and much more!
