With WWE Clash at the Castle 2024 set to go down this Saturday, there is no better time than now to make some bold predictions for the event in Glasgow, Scotland.
Following NXT producing an event inside the UFC Apex, the WWE takes their show abroad this weekend for a premium live event in Scotland. This year’s edition of Clash at the Castle will be headlined by a World Heavyweight Title match that will see Damian Priest defend his title against the man he stole the championship from at Wrestlemania 40, Drew McIntyre.

The WWE Undisputed Title will also be on the line when Cody Rhodes and AJ Styles up the ante in their feud by taking part in a rare I Quite match. Plus, Sami Zayn will defend his Intercontinental belt against Chad Gable, and Bayley will put her WWE Women’s Title on the line in a bout versus hometown favorite Piper Niven.
With all of that in mind, let’s make some predictions for the company’s Clash at the Castle PLE in Scotland.
Chad Gable finally wins WWE gold with some help
Chad Gable is on one of the best runs of his WWE career. After being the likable underdog who came up just short against Gunther in a chase for the IC title, he has now turned into an evil cult leader of the Alpha Academy. Winning a singles title is long overdue for the former Olympian and Clash at the Castle is where it finally happens.
Sami Zayn has been a fun champion but he was always meant to be a transitional title holder and that’s why his reign will come to an end on Saturday. However, look for the long-rumored edition of the Creed Brothers to the Academy as the reason for Gable’s victory and not the unhappy veteran members that help their leader win the Intercontinental strap.

Damian Priest survives Drew McIntyre with an assist from CM Punk
This event seems set up for Drew McIntyre to regain the World Heavyweight title. No way could he lose to Damian Priest in his home country, or not win a top belt for a second straight year at this event, right? Wrong. Ending Priest’s reign already would seem premature. Especially to then set up McIntyre versus Gunther in a couple of months at Summerslam since they had an extensive feud last year.
The fact that Judgement Day is banned from ringside seems like a setup for a surprise interference. Considering how petty CM Punk can be, don’t be surprised if he makes a special appearance at Clash at the Castle and costs McIntyre his dream moment for the second time this year. That is going to be one of the biggest feuds of the summer and this would add another hate-filled layer to the rivalry.

Bayley turns back hometown challenge of Piper Niven
Piper Niven winning the WWE Women’s Title in her hometown would surely make the fans in Glasgow go wild. However, that will not be happening on Saturday. Niven has impressed in her feud with Bayley, especially in her recent promo on Smackdown. But Bayley’s title run is not ending just yet. That will likely come at Summerslam against Queen of the Ring Nia Jax.
Nevertheless, this is a big moment for Niven and a strong showing could finally prove to WWE decision-makers that she is deserving of a title run at some point later this year.

Cody Rhodes makes AJ Styles say ‘I quit’
The most predictable bout on the 2024 WWE Clash at the Castle card is Cody Rhodes vs. AJ Styles. Rhodes will enter the event as WWE Undisputed Champion and will leave the same. It’s a shame only because Styles has finally returned to the entertaining heel that made him a star in the company and earned him huge wins over wrestling icon John Cena.
Nevertheless, with this being an I Quit match, expect this bout to steal the show and be the best match on this weekend’s card.
