There have been rumblings in recent days about the future of former AEW women’s champion Saraya. In an interview last week, she revealed that her contract with the company was set to end later this year. And there were no plans for her to be used anytime soon. Well, it seems she and the promotion have agreed there is no longer a reason to keep working together.
On Wednesday, the woman formerly known as Paige revealed in a chat with Entertainment Weekly that she is officially done with All-Elite Wrestling. There was already speculation about a potential return to WWE, and this news will only intensify the speculation.
If she does head back to her former wrestling home, here are seven stars of the WWE women’s roster we would love to see her face in 2025.
Becky Lynch

Becky Lynch and Saraya are two important figures in the progression of women’s wrestling in WWE. At their peaks, both mirrored anti-hero characters from the attitude era and broke the mold of what a female wrestler can be in the company. A clash between these two influential figures has to happen if Saraya heads back to WWE.
Chelsea Green

Chelsea Green is one of the most entertaining performers in WWE, woman or man. Saraya, AKA Paige, is probably at her best as a heel. But if she returns to the promotion as a babyface, a feud with Green would absolutely deliver some very funny segments. Furthermore, both are rock-solid veteran wrestlers who would put on good matches as well.
Lyra Valkyria

Lyra Valkyria has a ton of potential. Long-time NXT fans saw what she can be at her best. However, she hasn’t generated the same sort of momentum on the main roster, despite a good push from management. Saraya is a great heel and is a performer who would push Valkyria to elevate her game to the levels she needs to get to so she can realize her potential in the big time.
Bayley

Bayley is in a bit of limbo right now on Raw. She badly needs a good foil to engage in a long-term feud with following WrestleMania. A returning Paige would be a great option to get the most out of Bayley’s immense talent and give the former AEW star a major feud in her WWE return.
Charlotte Flair

Just like Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair is a key figure in the growth of women’s wrestling in the company. She has always had a strong and cocky personality. Her aura clashing with Saraya’s dark punk vibes would be fun, and the bout is a dream fight to many long-time women’s wrestling fans.
Dakota Kai

Dakota Kai is one of the most experienced female performers on the WWE roster. A feud with Saraya/Paige would be a big help for a babyface run that has stagnated of late. However, if the English star returns as a babyface, a new heel version of Kai could set up a fun rivalry between a pair of elite international women’s stars.
Jade Cargill

Jade Cargill has huge potential. However, she has limited experience in the ring. So, having her feud with veteran performers who can lead the dance is important as the company builds her into a top star. Saraya would be a perfect option for that sort of role on Smackdown if she returned to the company. There is a lot Cargill can learn from her. Plus, a pair of former AEW champions facing off in WWE is an interesting backstory in itself.
