Damian Priest is coming off a career year in 2024. Among the highlights was a signature moment at Wrestlemania 40 when he cashed in his Money in the Bank contract to capture his first World Heavyweight Championship.
Though that’ll be tough to top, it shouldn’t stop Priest from keeping his momentum going this year. Below, we look at a few potential matchups we would like to see him in this April at “The Showcase of the Immortals.”

5. Braun Strowman

These two have recently had business to address against The Bloodline, even teaming up to get a victory over Jacob Fatu and Solo Sikoa. But as we’ve seen with plenty of alliances, it only takes one bit of friction to put both parties at odds. If that happened here, fans would be treated to a pair of big, athletic dudes throwing down for our enjoyment. And who doesn’t enjoy a good old-fashioned hoss fight on a grand stage?

4. Jacob Fatu

Speaking of The Bloodline, recent events on Smackdown point to a potential implosion between Fatu and Sikoa. That matchup may very well end up taking place at Mania. But if this is a program that will ignite in the summer instead, a high-profile match between Priest and Fatu would be a fantastic chapter in that story.
One miscommunication between The Bloodline during this bout leading to a further rift would be simple and effective. And we’d get a tremendous match out of it.

3. Malakai Black

It’s been long rumored that the man formerly known as Aleister Black in WWE could soon be returning to the company. If that is indeed the case, he’ll want a big name to go after and make an impact. Enter Damian Priest. These two have similar vibes in terms of presentation, aesthetics, and even move sets. All it would take is Malakai Black showing up on Smackdown with a surprise attack and we’d be off to the races.

2. Carmelo Hayes

Carmelo Hayes’ time on the main roster has seen him get plenty of screen time. However, he has yet to have that one defining feud that could take him to the next level. A rivalry with Priest could be the ticket. Melo scrapping with Priest would do wonders to cement his credibility. Especially since Priest is still very much in play at the top of the card.
Not to mention, the two could put on a phenomenal match. Wrestlemania has had plenty of show-stealing matches in its history and this would be a top candidate.

1. Drew McIntyre

Now here is one that has a high probability and is ready-made. For starters, both men are in the upcoming Men’s Elimination Chamber match. Any confrontation where one costs the other their ticket to a Mania title match would be more than enough reason to have them feuding.
And let’s not forget, it was McIntyre who Priest cashed in his Money in the Bank contract against at Mania last year. Running that back in a proper match this year makes all the sense in the world.
