It is WrestleMania season, and this time of year also brings the annual WWE Slammy Awards. The company’s version of the Oscars and Emmys lets their legion of fans vote on the top wrestlers, moments, and matches from the last year.
Before the final votes get tabulated next month, we figured we would save you a little time and make some bold predictions for who will win all the various WWE Slammy Awards in 2025.
Breakout Superstar of the Year

Nominees:
- Bron Breakker
- Lyra Valkyria
- Penta
- Oba Femi
- Giulia
- Tiffany Stratton
- Jacob Fatu
- Chelsea Green
- Stephanie Vaquer
There have been quite a few fresh faces that have made strong impressions on WWE fans over the last year. Chelsea Green, Stephanie Vaquer, and Penta are serious contenders for the award. However, it should go to Bloodline member Jacob Fatu. He was built to be a scary heel, but his undeniable talent has forced fans to cheer him like a hero each week.
W*F Moment of the Year

Nominees:
- R-Truth calls Triple H “Ciampa”
- Kevin Owens’ car interviews
- Chelsea Green goes into the dumpster
- Dominik Mysterio in the shark cage
- iShowSpeed with Logan Paul at WrestleMania
- LA Knight in Logan Paul’s pool
- R-Truth wrestles with John Cena
- Rabid noises from Tama Tonga
- Jacob Fatu: “I Love You Solo”
- The Wyatt Sicks debut
While fans can question how the Wyatt Sicks have been booked over the last year, there is no denying how cool their introduction to television was. After weeks of vignettes and QR codes, they delivered one of the creepiest and unique debuts in WWE history. It was a classic WTF moment.
Match of the Year

Nominees:
- Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania
- CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre – Hell in a Cell Match
- Roman Reigns & The Rock vs. Cody Rhodes & Seth Rollins at WrestleMania
- Liv Morgan vs. Rhea Ripley at SummerSlam
- Damian Priest vs. Gunther at SummerSlam
- Cody Rhodes vs. AJ Styles at WWE Backlash
- 2025 Men’s WarGames Match
- Bayley vs. IYO SKY at WrestleMania
- Sami Zayn vs. Gunther at WrestleMania
- Gunther vs. Randy Orton at WWE Bash in Berlin
- Seth Rollins vs. CM Punk on the Raw Netflix premiere
There were a lot of great and meaningful matches in WWE this year. The roster is as strong as ever and delivered in a big way in 2024. However, nothing was able to surpass the majesty, mayhem, and entertainment value of the epic rematch between Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 41. The above image explains it all, as it was the greatest example of well-organized chaos. The surprises and final result were a legendary payoff to one of the best storylines of this decade.
NXT Superstar of the Year

Nominees:
- Oba Femi
- Roxanne Perez
- Trick Williams
- Ethan Page
- Giulia
- Kelani Jordan
This has been a huge last year for NXT. The brand has seemingly recaptured the awesomeness of the years when Triple H oversaw the brand. Stars like Roxanne Perez and Trick Williams could certainly win this award. But over the last 12 months, Oba Femi has gone from prospect to North American champ to NXT champ. And he has done it all dominantly. More than any performer in NXT, Femi has future WWE champion written all over him.
Rivarly of the Year

Nominees:
- CM Punk and Drew McIntyre
- Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes
- Liv Morgan and Rhea Ripley
- Damian Priest and Finn Bálor
- Kevin Owens and Cody Rhodes
- Nia Jax and Tiffany Stratton
- Bloodline vs. Bloodline
There were some really good feuds over the last year in WWE. The War of the Bloodline brought back the OG version of the team. Liv Morgan became a superstar in her feud with Rhea Ripley, and Reigns vs. Rhodes was a huge storyline. However, no feud was a better blend of promos, personal issues, intensity, storytelling, and match quality than CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre. The pair showcased why they are two of the best in the world, and they were able to keep fans engaged for eight months. That is impressive.
Tag Team of the Year

Nominees:
- #DIY
- Awesome Truth
- A-Town Down Under
- Jade Cargill & Bianca Belair
- Motor City Machine Guns
- The Bloodline
- The War Raiders
- The Judgment Day
- The Street Profits
- Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez
This category has a huge oversight. Fraxiom was by far the best tag team in any of WWE’s brands. Yet, they were left off this list. On the main roster, this was not a great year for tag teams. But the combo of Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill probably deserves this year’s honor for elevating the women’s tag belts and traversing all three brands to defend the belts for months.
Faction of the Year

Nominees:
- The OG Bloodline
- The Judgment Day
- The New Bloodline
- American Made
- Damage CTRL
Even though they were only together for a little more than a month, the tale of the best version of the Bloodline (Reigns, Jey and Jimmy Uso, and Sami Zayn) reuniting was a highlight of 2024. They are one of the most beloved groups in WWE history, and it was a joy to see them back together one more time, even if just for a little while.
OMG Moment of the Year

Nominees:
- Cody Rhodes vs. Roman Reigns match finish at WrestleMania
- Dominik Mysterio turning on Rhea Ripley with Liv Morgan at SummerSlam
- Kevin Owens turning on Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes in October
- New Day turning on Big E on Raw
- Tiffany Stratton’s Money in the Bank cash-in on Nia Jax on SmackDown
- Damian Priest’s Money in the Bank cash-in on Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania
- Wyatt Sicks debut on Raw
- Bron Breakker spearing iShowSpeed at Royal Rumble
- Bronson Reed hitting a Tsunami on Braun Strowman onto a car
- John Cena turning on Cody Rhodes at WWE Elimination Chamber
- Roman Reigns returning at SummerSlam
- IYO SKY beating Rhea Ripley to become the Women’s World Champion on Raw
This is the easiest prediction of this year’s Slammy Awards. John Cena turning was not only an OMG moment from the last year, but it was also one of the biggest in wrestling history. His stunning heel turn after 20 years as a babyface shocked fans, and the ramifications are still being felt. It is an iconic moment that will be talked about for decades.
Most Memorable Entrance

Nominees:
- Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania
- Jey Uso on Raw on the Netflix debut with Travis Scott
- Roman Reigns at WrestleMania
- The Rock at WrestleMania
- Bayley at WrestleMania
- Randy Orton at WWE Bash in Berlin
- Seth Rollins at WrestleMania with the Philadelphia Mummers Band
- Sami Zayn in Montreal with Jey Uso
- Sami Zayn at WrestleMania with Kevin Owens and Chad Gable
- Logan Paul at SummerSlam with MGK
- Dominik Mysterio at WWE Bad Blood with Liv Morgan in the Low Rider
- Drew McIntyre at WWE Clash at the Castle
Love him or hate him, The Rock knows how to put on a show. In an era filled with really cool entrances, he was still able to stand out with his upgraded entrance as “The Final Boss.” It hit a peak moment at WrestleMania 41 and included a giant flaming Brahma Bull logo and a new belt once owned by Muhammad Ali.
Female Superstar of the Year

Nominees:
- Liv Morgan
- Rhea Ripley
- Bayley
- Nia Jax
- Tiffany Stratton
- Chelsea Green
- IYO SKY
Liv Morgan was a respected member of the roster. However, 2024 will be remembered for the Liv Morgan Revenger Tour. It helped elevate her to the upper echelon of the company, and now has the New Jersey native on a path to being a future WWE Hall of Famer. She had a lengthy reign as Women’s World Champion and even beat then-WWE Women’s Champ Nia Jax in a one-on-one match at Crown Jewel.
Male Superstar of the Year

Nominees:
- Cody Rhodes
- Roman Reigns
- Gunther
- CM Punk
- Damian Priest
- Drew McIntyre
- Jey Uso
- Seth Rollins
A serious case can be made that Cody Rhodes should win the Slammy Awards honor of Male Superstar of the Year. He had a big year as the WWE champ. Jey Uso also broke through and proved he could be a true main-event star. However, CM Punk has been able to keep himself among the most popular wrestlers on the planet without being on Raw every week.
Furthermore, he has done a tremendous job of fixing his damaged reputation and becoming a locker room leader for the company he once hated. This past year completely changed the narrative on Punk.
