Saved By The Bell star and actor Mario Lopez could be headed towards a WWE ring. Also, NXT referee Drake Wuertz, who is into QAnon, posted a Facebook rant about COVID masks and trafficking children.

WWE Wants Mario Lopez

Actor Mario Lopez, known by many as A.C. Slater from Saved By The Bell, wants to wrestle. Apparently, WWE is interested in working with the 47 year old actor.

WWE Hall of Famer Jerry Lawler was on the On With Mario Lopez podcast. There, Slater admitted that WWE wanted to work with him.

“Jerry, they’re trying to get me to do something in the ring,” said Lopez. “For my kids, I think I wanna do it, get in there as a storyline.”

“I’m almost gonna be 48 – I’m in pretty good shape though, and athletic. Any suggestions, any advice I need to know when I get in there. By the way, I grew up wrestling too!”

Lawler gave Lopez his full support for a run in WWE. Then, he used Bad Bunny’s amazing performance at WrestleMania 37 to show Lopez the possibilities.

“I wanna wrestle Bad Bunny,” Lopez joked. “I wanna body slam and suplex Bad Bunny!”

If Lopez and WWE can make a deal happen, we might see him inside a wrestling ring. It would certainly bring WWE plenty of attention from Hollywood.

NXT Referee Post Bizarre Facebook Rant

NXT referee Drake Wuertz has been causing a buzz the last few months and it is not for good reasons. He has been known to push QAnon theories.

These wild theories involve wearing mask to battle COVID, a child sex-trafficking ring run by Hollywood and the United States government, satan-worshipping, the media drinking blood of babies and more. It all seems to stem from the idea that people, mostly Democrats and the press, are against Donald Trump.

So far, many people have disproven and discredited the far-right American conspiracy theories. Basically, it is a bunch of nonsense.

Wuertz recently took part in a Zoom call with the Seminole County Board of County Commissioners, where he received even more backlash. He can be seen arguing that a mask mandate “puts vulnerable children at risk for being preyed upon by traffickers,” since “non-verbal cues are often a first sign for distress in identifying potential victims.”

Some thought Wuertz was suspended for the remarks. Then, it was reported that he was sent home for two weeks with pay because of possible COVID exposure.

Drake Wuertz’s Facebook Post

Now, Wuertz went to Facebook and posted a rant about his COVID – mask theory.

My wife said some folks are apparently writing about our “Radical Views “. *Human Trafficking is modern-day slavery and we seek to eradicate it *Abortion is Murder and needs to be Abolished *Children in my community that are being forced by local government to wear masks for 8 hours a day against their parents wishes is abuse. We have a God-ordained duty to speak up for the ‘least of these’ and petition our magistrates to prevent harm upon children. If this is “Radical” then label me an extremist for Christ. Were not called to fit in with the world. Were called to serve God!…”We ought to obey God rather than men.” Acts 5:29

Wuertz is entitled to his opinions, but his remarks are rubbing people the wrong way. Many companies are distancing themselves from those who push QAnon and that happened to Wuertz.

He was the top NXT referee, but lost that spot. Therefore, that might only be the beginning of his downfall.
