WWE announced that they’ve signed former Ring of Honor star Donovan Dijak to a developmental contract.

Six-foot-seven, 265-pound Chris Dijak of Worcester, Mass., better known to ring fans as Donovan Dijak, is the latest signee to join WWE’s training center in Orlando, Fla.
Combining heavy-hitting power with cat-like agility, Dijak’s explosive offense has won him admirers around the world. His “Feast Your Eyes” knee-smash, meanwhile, has downed enough opponents to put Dijak on WWE’s radar with only four years’ experience.
I’ve seen Dijak wrestle at my local indie promotion on several occasions, and I was very excited to hear of his signing. They’re not kidding about his cat-like agility: it’s quite a sight to see a six-foot-seven, 265-pound man hit a moonsault off the top rope – while adjusting for a low ceiling!
As noted, Dijak is already highly accomplished for only having four years’ experience. In 2015 he won the ROH Top Prospect tournament; other wrestlers who have won the tournament include WWE Superstar Mike Kanellis (f.k.a. Bennett) and recent WWE signee Lio Rush. Dijak also competed in the 2017 PWG Battle of Los Angeles tournament.
This is actually the second time WWE has offered Dijak a contract. They initially offered him one in January but were forced to pull it after ROH threatened legal action. In February, Dijak opted not to re-sign with ROH, hoping for another WWE offer. Clearly, it worked out.
This is a well-deserved and exciting signing. I can’t wait to see what Dijak brings to NXT!
