As most fans know, The King had a heart attack on an episode of Monday Night RAW over ten years ago. Ricky Morton hopped on Twitter today to wish Lawler well.
You can see the tweet above. This sounds like a serious situation.
WWE Hall Of Famer Rushed To Hospital – What’s The Reason?
According to the report, a friend of the WWE Hall of Famer notes on Facebook that it is believed Jerry had a stroke. As of this writing, no other information is available.
On behalf of everyone here at WNZ, we hope that Jerry makes a full recovery and heads home soon. We’re pulling for The King!
In other news, Mandy Rose was released by the WWE in December 2022, due to her premium content site. Would she ever head to AEW?
Mandy Rose All Elite?
Rose had quite the recent run at NXT. Her 413-day reign as NXT Women’s Champion was amazing, but sadly and abruptly ended.
She recently was on The Sessions with Renee Paquette. Rose talks about her wrestling future and whether she’d step into a squared circle again.
Renee works for AEW and asked if Rose would ever make the jump and become All Elite. Mandy has some history with a number of talents there, including friend Dustin Rhodes.
Rose and Rhodes were in the WWE Mixed Match Challenge some years back. Of course, Mandy was also in Saraya’s Absolution faction.
Would She Or Wouldn’t She?
While Rose notes it would be nice to reunite with some old friends by signing with AEW, she hasn’t decided about returning to the wrestling business as of yet.
She does say she hasn’t “ruled it out”, and she also states it’s just not her main focus right now. Mandy states that it may be in the future.
Rose also tells Renee just how caught off guard she was about her release. She reveals that she and Roxanne Perez were supposed to wrestle, but not the night the title changed hands.
Mandy explains the two were supposed to face off at Vengeance Day. She was told around 2 p.m. that day of the plan, and she had a feeling something was up.
During the chat with Renee, Rose stated she knew the decision for her release came from Shawn Michaels. She wanted to know more about the “why” around it, but there wasn’t enough time to get the information she was looking for.
Mandy notes that at that moment, her focus was planning the match and “doing her job”. She wasn’t able to get the answers she was looking for.
