It’s been a long while since fans have seen Andrade in the WWE, and there’s a little bit of an update on his status, below.
Where Is Andrade?
It’s been about four months since fans have seen Andrade on WWE television. For those who may not remember, his last match took place on October 12, 2020. Angel Garza beat him in less than three minutes.
During the big brand draft storyline in late 2020, Andrade was supposed to head to Monday Night RAW at some point, but that didn’t happen. As it stands, he’s currently not linked to any WWE brand.
Fightful Select recently reported that Andrade wasn’t even chosen as a Royal Rumble alternate. Superstars like Cedric Alexander and Murphy were on this list, but not El Idolo.
According to the report, there was no confirmation around Andrade being in the building at all that night.
There was a buzz at one point that the company wanted to bring Andrade back and give him a push. But that has yet to happen.

Opportunity Missed
The Rumble is the perfect opportunity for a return, and the WWE passed on that. Not being slated for the Royal Rumble, or the alternate list is not a good sign.
Sadly, Andrade has tremendous in-ring talent. His mic skills might need some fine-tuning, but perhaps giving him another manager could help to fix that.
With Zelina Vega, Andrade’s former manager, out of the picture, perhaps the company is looking for the right person to align this superstar with.
Andrade has experienced some tremendous success in the WWE, when he was with Vega, as an NXT Champion and the United States Champion on the main roster.
At this point, it’s unclear when Andrade is set to return to WWE action.
Cody Rhodes Injured On AEW’s Dynamite?
Cody Rhodes, along with Lee Johnson, snagged a win last night on AEW’s Dynamite. They were up against Cezar Bononi and “Pretty” Peter Avalon.
Nothing seemed out of sorts during the bout. Still, during Coach’s Corner, Arn Anderson revealed some surprising injury news.
He noted that Cody “dinged his shoulder” early in the match.
After Anderson’s Coach’s Corner, a statement was issued out:
“Following the recording of Coach’s Corner, it was confirmed by the AEW medical team that Cody Rhodes suffered a slight tear of his left rotator cuff during his tag team match on Dynamite. His current status is TBD.”
Real Or Part Of A Storyline?
In the land of professional wrestling, it’s hard to say if this injury is legit or storyline related. After all, Rhodes and Johnson did win the match. But an injury could open up a bigger storyline feud.
In Addition, Cody Rhodes did hop on Twitter, shortly after Dynamite to post an injured emoji.

If it is a legit injury, perhaps it is not be something that will keep Rhodes out of action for too long.
This March 3rd, Cody, along with Red Velvet, is scheduled to face Shaw and Jade Cargill on Dynamite. If Rhodes is legitimately injured, here’s hoping he can recover in time for that match.
