John Cena is one of America’s greatest defenders. It is more than a “gimmick.” Cena truly loves this country and loves the men and women who defend it. Some fans think Cena’s patriotism is over-the-top and cheesy. “Smart” fans use it as a reason to attack John Cena and mock him. Not me. I love Cena’s patriotism. I love it because it is real. He isn’t faking it. You can see it in his eyes. You can hear it in his voice. John Cena loves America.
With that in mind, here are the times when Cena was America’s greatest patriot (apologies to Del Wilkes).

On May 2nd, 2011, Seal Team Six took out 9/11 mastermind and ultimate heel Osama Bin Laden. The announcement came down during the main event of the Extreme Rules PPV.

Cena beat The Miz and John Morrison for the WWE Title, but I would say this was his highlight of the evening.

Cena built his own private weight-lifting gym in Florida and named it after the gym he first trained at in Massachusetts. But if you look into Hard Nocks South, you won’t find a lot of title belts and pictures of Cena.

Instead, you see the purest testament to John Cena’s love of our military.
[tps_title]Wrestling for the troops in Iraq[/tps_title]
Cena and the WWE put their bodies where their mouths are when it comes to supporting the troops. It isn’t just lip service. Showing their commitment to our men and women defending us, WWE began Tribute to the Troops and hosted wrestling shows in Iraq and Afghanistan.Of course Cena main-evented Tribute to the Troops.

[tps_title]Hosting American Grit[/tps_title]
John Cena added “Competition Show Host” recently when he hosted the physical challenge show American Grit. Cena leads a group of elite military veterans pushing everyday people to do extraordinary things. Cena’s love of our veterans is on full-display.

John Cena is inspiring. Listening to a speech from him makes me want to spring through a wall.
[tps_title]John Cena’s “We Are America” commercial [/tps_title]
2016 was a contentious year for America. The media made it seem like we are all at each other’s throats waiting to pounce. Cena cut this amazing ad that put a lot of that to rest. He defined what it truly meant to be a patriot.
