What does the future hold for this superstar and his working relationship with AEW? WNZ has all the details on this.
Morrison & His AEW Status
According to a PW Insider report, the wrestling veteran, whose real name is John Hennigan, will make his official return to the promotion during this Friday’s Rampage episode.
He’ll return to AEW during a promo segment with Harley Cameron. The star will be aligned with QT Marshall during the start of his new run with the company.
The report reveals that his official in-ring name will either be Johnny TV or Johnny Television. It also states that he’ll be a regular on Rampage, moving forward.
For those who may not know, the wrestler is currently married to AEW star Taya Valkyrie. The two got hitched in 2018.
Taya is a force to be reconned with in the women’s division. She officially became All Elite, earlier this year.
Hennigan’s History With AEW
The wrestling veteran has performed within the indie circuit, on Impact, Lucha Underground, and also in the WWE. In fact, he was released by the WWE in November 2021, due to the company’s pandemic budget cuts.
In May 2022, he made his AEW debut as Johnny Elite. He was the “surprise” Joker entrant during the Owen Hart Cup tournament.
He faced Samoa Joe, and unfortunately, lost. Hennigan would end up working a total of three bouts that year for AEW.
In his second match, he faced Marq Quen during a Dark Saturday Night Special taping on May 27th. He won that bout.
His final match was against Miro on June 1st during Dynamite. He lost that one, too.
What does the future hold for Hennigan during this next AEW run? Only time will tell.
