Update on John Cena & Crown Jewel, RAW Superstar Suffers Concussion

Update on John Cena & Crown Jewel

‘- Organization of Crown Jewel continues to be a complete mess. While Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio recently reported that WWE’s creative team was given a heads up that John Cena would not be participating in the event yesterday, it seems that Cena was still advertised for the Saudi Arabi event during Monday Night RAW, and he’s still being listed for the pay-per-view today; however, it is also being reported that WWE officials are searching for a replacement that will participate in the World Cup tournament.

Robbie Fox, of Barstool Sports, reported recently that both Daniel Bryan and John Cena were planning on backing out of Crown Jewel, and unfortunately Meltzer did not have anything confirmed in regard to Bryan. He did mention that Crown Jewel continues to fall deeper and deeper in jeopardy of not happening, as things look like they may fall through.

WrestleVotes recently tweeted an update, stating that Crown Jewel is still on, but hanging between the balance within a ‘wait and see’ status. Their tweet is below:

– Among a very chaotic RAW last night, one thing that was clearly missing was Alexa Bliss. While WWE Hall of Famers Trish Stratus and Lita cut a backstage promo regarding their Evolution tag match against Bliss and Mickie James, James along with Alicia Fox, ended up ambushing the two.

So, where was Little Miss Bliss?

According to Wrestling Observer Radio’s Dave Meltzer, the former RAW Women’s Champion is dealing with a concussion right now, suffered at a live event in Hartford during a tag team match against Ronda Rousey and Nia Jax. It seems that while she is still being advertised for Evolution, there might be a chance she could get cleared by Sunday to participate in the event. If not, Alicia Fox might be slated as her replacement, as Fox was included in last night’s backstage segment.

Only time will tell if Bliss can pass WWE’s concussion testing to be a part of history at the first-ever all-women’s pay-per-view, Evolution, airing on the WWE Network this Sunday, October 28.
