The Undertaker has been involved in tons of gimmick matches, which led him to take a nap inside caskets to prepare for action.
Undertaker Would Nap In Caskets To Prepare For WWE Matches
Everyone has superstitions before watching the latest game. Some are wearing the same dirty shirt backwards and others only eat specific food.
In WWE, the wrestlers have their own way to unwind or prepare for a match. Believe it or not, the Undertaker would actually take a nap inside a casket for several hours to prepare.
While speaking during a recent Q&A session of his Six Feet Under podcast on Patreon, Undertaker went over his reasoning.
“Back in the early days, I was burning the midnight oil too,” said Undertaker. “I’d crawl in a casket and take a nap for an hour or two during the day.”
“Most people are kind of creeped out by them, so no one would ever mess with them. So, I just crawl in there and they’d be cool.”
“One of the caskets backstage, I would just crawl in there, take a little nap, get my mind right, and I’d be ready to go. Yeah, but buried alive, there’s a lot going on there.”
The last line was a joke about Buried Alive Matches, which is another staple of Undertaker. He did note how Buried Alive Matches are scarier than Casket Matches.
Since retiring after WrestleMania 36, he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame and continues to make non-WWE appearances. He certainly earned the rest.
Undertaker did comment about having the urge to compete again when he is attending WrestleMania as a fan. Thankfully, he knows better than to wrestle another match.
So, does learning the Undertaker would take a nap inside caskets to prepare for WWE matches seem really out there?
