Once again, Tony Khan talks about a major announcement planned for AEW. And, after a scary moment at home, Mia Yim issues a warning to fans.
Tony Khan Talks Major Announcement
In what seems to be a regularly happening thing, Tony Khan talks about an impending major announcement for AEW.
On his weekly appearance on Busted Open Radio, Khan talked about the major announcement.
Once again, he has set the stage for next week’s AEW Dynamite. That is when he promises to make a major announcement.
How major?
On his appearance, Khan said that the announcement would be a major deal for pro wrestling.
While that doesn’t give away much (nothing really), that leaves a lot to the imagination.
There are a few major free agents out there…but rumors are suggesting that this is not a new star joining AEW.
That Khan would say it’s a big deal for pro wrestling (as opposed to a big thing for AEW) is something to ponder.
What are some possibilities?
Some have kicked around an additional show for AEW. Given the growing roster, it would make sense.
Could it be something more in line with talent contracts and benefits? That is one area WWE has gotten flak for, and it would certainly change the industry.
One other possibility? A bigger deal related to the previously opened “Forbidden Door“.
Considering ROH is due back soon, perhaps it’s something involving them?
Plenty of things are out there, and it’s just as possible that it will be none of them at all.
We will have to wait until Wednesday to find out, but if the goal was to generate buzz, it has once again worked.
Mia Yim Issues Warning
Over the years, there have been some scares involving wrestlers and fans…and now Mia Yim issues a warning to her followers.
It seems that in the recent past, a fan paid her a visit, and the former WWE Superstar was not at all pleased.
After the experience, she posted her thoughts on social media.
We love and appreciate our fans, we wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for you. Please believe we love you guys.
That being said, please don’t come to our home just to say hi. Respect our private home and boundaries.

Yim’s experience is just the latest in a rash of more and more incidents which are, effectively, invasions of privacy.
If it’s not Keith Lee and Mia Yim dealing with an over-zealous fan…just think of the others that have made news.
Seth Rollins notably got jumped during a show last year.
There was also the Hall of Fame attack several years back.
And one of the scarier instances involved Sonya Deville. That incident was at least partly responsible for Deville’s extensive time off WWE television, as the case developed.
As the access to Superstars is easier than ever with social media, some fans are having a hard time respecting boundaries.
Hopefully all of these issues don’t lead us to a tragedy.
