TNA Wrestling in Talks To Join WWE NXT on CW?

WWE NXT could be joined by TNA Wrestling on the CW soon.

TNA Wrestling is one of the most fascinating stories in modern pro wrestling. Unlike many other promotions in the 21st century, they have been able to stay afloat despite being a competitor to WWE. While the brand has had its ups and downs, it is still going strong in its 23rd year in existence.

This year has been especially profitable for the company. TNA is as popular as it’s been in a long time. And they recently put on their most successful event in North America last month with Slammiversary. However, WWE has played a role in their success via an official working relationship that features talent exchanges between TNA and NXT.

Well, it seems that the relationship between the two brands could now include being on the same network. According to the Wrestling Observer Dave Meltzer, TNA is now in discussions with two networks that currently air WWE content.

“Both A&E and The CW have been rumored as potential new broadcast partners for TNA,” he said. “Due to the working relationship between the two wrestling promotions, WWE would have been involved in the discussions with either network.”

NXT airs every Tuesday on the CW network. The company’s reality TV developmental series LFG airs on A&E, as well as other WWE documentary content.

The one big thing TNA Wrestling has been missing during its recent surge is a major TV deal. Landing on A&E or CW would be a huge move for the company that once broadcast events on defunct network Spike TV. It is the sort of deal that would put them in a position to make a serious run at AEW as the No. 2 wrestling promotion in the world.
