7. The Mae Young Classic
The Mae Young Classic was more proof positive that WWE is finally taking women’s wrestling seriously. Much like the Cruiserweight Classic, the tournament saw 32 women from around the world compete for a shot at the NXT Women’s Championship. Piper Niven, Toni Storm, Kairi Sane, Shayna Bazsler and others made names for themselves, proving that the future of women’s wrestling is bright.
