Where D-Generation X has “suck it,” Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch have “sip it.”

You might have noticed the duo doing their tea time pinkies up salute on SmackDown over the last few months. So what’s the deal? WWE’s Cathy Kelley explains in the video below how it stems back to their days with Team PCB:
.@MsCharlotteWWE and @BeckyLynchWWE have TWO WORDS FOR YA…. SIP IT!!! #TeaGenerationX#PinkiesUp@catherinekelleypic.twitter.com/QWcCTPHghL

I have to admit, this whole thing is a bit cheesy, but cheesy puns are kind of Becky’s thing, and of course, she’d want to include her best friend in on the fun.
That being said, there is a dispute over who the pinkies up salute actually belongs to. Earlier this month, Unified GFW Knockouts Champion Sienna took to Twitter to accuse Charlotte of gimmick infringement. As Sienna sees it, Charlotte not only stole the pinkie gesture from her but also her peacock entrance attire and even her makeup:
I ignored the feathers & the makeup, but the pinky? Really? If you need anything else from me, let me know. @MsCharlotteWWE#PinkiesUp?☕️pic.twitter.com/xfLjkMcy3O

But despite the similarities, Charlotte fired back with a pretty bulletproof response:

Tea is served.
