It’s another Monday Night RAW In A Nutshell, and simply put…Survivor Series is up next.
Crown Jewel is done, we know how that unfolded. Tonight will surely give us some fallout from Saturday…like what’s Sami going to do with the briefcase…but stay tuned.
What can we expect? Well, that’s the big question, isn’t it?
It is sort of a blank slate for things. We know, officially, that War Games is coming back to Chicago for the November PLE.
What we don’t know…yet…is what matches we will see there. There do seem to be some surprises…and perhaps some disappointment, depending on how things break.
Given we only have a few weeks from now until the big event in the Windy City, it’s a safe bet that things heat up starting tonight.
So…lets get into it…
Survivor Series Is Up Next : RAW In A Nutshell
It’s time to crack this one open and enjoy this Nutshell!
Best Match of the night:
Too many options!! This is a great problem to have, of course.
Creeds/DIY was fun.
The fatal fourway was really, really good.
Even the women’s battle royal deserves love.
And, Zayn versus Rollins…need I say more? Bonus points for them letting the match to end clean before all hell broke loose.
Worst match of the night:
Nothing stands out.
Crowd Chants of the Night:
Not going to single out one chant, but it was an enthusiastic crowd.
Star of the Night
Zoey Stark perhaps?
The Miz deserves a mention too.
Everyone in the main event too, why not.
Spot of the Night:
Jobber of the Night:
This usually was a slight, but tonight…Ricochet in a good way.
Lots of good action, and I have to think that he helped make the other three look better.
Upset of the Night:
Honestly did not see Stark coming out as the #1 contender to Ripley. But, I kind of dig it.
Holy Sh** Moment of the Night:
Botch of the night:
I have to assume it was booked like this for a reason, but that massive delay between the 2 and 3 of the fatal fourway decisive pinfall?
Not a good look. Because if it was the same cadence as the first two times the hand hit the mat? We have 2 winners.
Now, was this a matter of the ref knew we weren’t suppose to have 2, and was making sure Ricochet kicked out?
Commentary of the night:
“I can’t remember the last time Miz looked this good!” (Ricochet can sell with the best, can’t he…)
LOL Moment of the night:
Noteworthy Moment:
Talk of Ivar getting a push in the absence of his partner seem quite legit, as he found himself in the fatal fourway for a shot at GUNTHER in Chicago.
And though he was extremely close to winning…he lost out to The Miz.
While we knew it was happening and was a done deal, it became TV official on RAW this week. The Creed Brothers are officially on RAW.
Rheap Ripley will face…Zoey Stark at Survivor Series, defending her title in Chicago.
Xia and Becky…who would have seen that coming? (Everyone, based on last week…)
Nice cameo from a local former Superstar (RAW being in Wilkes Barre, he isn’t that far away)
Overall lowlights:
I hate to say it, but I have nothing for you here.
Overall highlights:
I mean, we knew we’d see Cody and his side against Judgement Day in War Games, didn’t we?
The brawl after the main event led to Adam channeling his best Regal, which maybe was a bit over the top with too many “games” mentions…but I will take it.
Overall…a lot to like tonight.
After the final bell:
Nothing more to be said, this RAW went very well. Anyone suffering from jet lag, it did not show.
And, just as important, WWE shifted gears rapidly and we quickly have several matches booked for Chicago.
