Steve Austin WWE Return Rumored, Details On Storyline

Often, WWE likes to bring back names from the past. Sometimes, they return for a match or quick cameo.

BWE, which has broken several backstage stories, noted a Steve Austin WWE return looks to be happening. They did have many details, but discussed how WWE wants a particular name to get that ‘big Austin rub.’

It has been a bit since fans last saw Austin, so it will be a nice addition to TV.

Austin’s last appearance was at WrestleMania 38. The show came from Texas and Kevin Owens promised to confront Austin. Rather quickly, the segment turned into a match.

In an entertaining bout, Austin won in what is now his final match. Although, he was not done.

The next day, night two of WrestleMania 38, “Stone Cold” made an unannounced appearance following Vince McMahon inserting himself into a match with Pat McAfee. After the match, Austin hit a bunch of stunners on anyone around and then drank a ton of beer. The final moments were very similar to night one.

WWE did want Austin to work WrestleMania 39. They pitched several opponents with names like Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns being discussed. In the end, Austin turned down the offer as he did not think a match worked creatively.

Since there is no word on who WWE will have Austin work with, that could become a guessing game. Grayson Waller might be the pick. He has been praised by WWE for his time in NXT.

So far, Waller only has one main roster match to his name since officially departing NXT. That came at Friday’s SmackDown from Madison Square Garden, where he lost to WWE Hall of Famer, Edge.
