It’s our latest SmackDown In A Nutshell, and we have a wonderfully simple question for it : Will Orton acknowledge Reigns?

Because, if you somehow have not been paying attention…Randy Orton has signed with SmackDown, and he wants revenge on the Bloodline.

And, Roman Reigns is in Green Bay tonight.

So…what are the odds that the Viper acknowledges Reigns? I would say an acknowledgement of the Tribal Chief is unlikely.

A confrontation probably is not, but I digress.

As 2023 continues to wind down, we will surely have more than just Reigns-Orton…but that’s plenty big for me.

WWE may disagree…

So, with that said…it’s time…

It’s time to crack this one open and enjoy!

Best Match of the night:

One option is absolutely Carmello Hayes and Grayson Waller.

Is it a stretch to think that one or both Superstars might eventually ascend to the top of the ladder? I don’t think so.

Like, one of these two (at least) is getting a WrestleMania main event moment, if I had to say.

Owens and Theory wasn’t far behind. I mean…Theory with the Spanish Fly, trying to match…whatever that was by Waller?

Orton and Jimmy was nice too, and the final part of the action just made it all the better.

Worst match of the night:

Man…I don’t think we had a stinker.

Crowd Chants of the Night:

Wasn’t a bad crowd, they were into things, but the chants weren’t as fast and furious. Though, their opening Randy chat helped bug Roman…

Star of the Night

Going with Kevin Owens and Carmello Hayes.

Maybe some love for Orton again too.

But Owens and Hayes will battle next week (taped after this show now) to see who is going to beat up Logan Paul next.

Both would be superb. Maybe we get a faux finish and it becomes a triple threat?

Honorable mention for the surprise at the end, one very ripped AJ Styles.

Spot of the Night:

Can I really go with an aborted/near miss RKO? I think I can.

But…what was that move Waller pulled? Graves said it best “I don’t know what to call it because I’ve never seen it before…but it was awesome!”

Jobber of the Night:

This is a tough one…because I can’t say anyone really did any kind of job.

Upset of the Night:

Michin and Zelina would have been, but Bayley and Dakota made sure that we didn’t get one.

Holy Sh** Moment of the Night:

Honestly forgot that Orton can slay on the mic.

Legend Killer Orton is back. I will say, if we weren’t 1202 days deep into Roman’s run, I could see Orton winning the title.

But…I think beating Roman and ending that run has to be a star making move, and Orton certainly does not need to be made.

After he helped even the odds, I certainly did not see Styles going from helping LA Knight to taking him out…so that will be something to watch.

Botch of the night:

Was there one?

LOL Moment of the night:

Reigns, building up for some Bloodline employee of the month schtick.

Jimmy takes his jacket off, and Jimmy thinks it’s for him…but we all know it isn’t. It’s for Solo.

Noteworthy Moment:

If at first you don’t succeed…try, try again….as they are now with Karrion Kross.

Overall lowlights:

Really nothing complaint worthy.

Overall highlights:

Orton being back, and delivering.

Reigns working the top heel spot well.

Owens. Hayes.

And so on.

Plus, an absolutely shredded AJ Styles is back, and that should be fun too.

After the final bell:

A loaded roster is getting star power back, and things are really picking up.

The Rumble match itself is going to be loaded, the overall card probably will be too.

Orton is back, Punk came back, Styles…who’s next?

Crazy, loaded SmackDown In A Nutshell, if you ask me.
