Rusev is known to poke some occasional fun at his colleagues and himself. The most recent was a video post, where Rusev thanked his best friend John Cena for sending him his personal copy of 2K18. Here’s the story!
Happy with 2K18
I wonder if Rusev likes to win as much in 2K18 as in the wrestling ring. Even though things have not been going that great for the Bulgarian brute in the wrestling ring, he is still one of the most entertaining heels in my book.
Fortunately, Rusev now has something to do outside the wrestling ring, because Rusev has received a special edition of 2K18, sent by his “best friend” John Cena!
“So once again, thank you WWE 2K, thank you 2K Sports, thank you John Cena for sending me your own personal stuff! I have, like, toys that I can play with. Thank you!”
Is This Genuine?
One of the first things I wondered was if this is genuine since Rusev and John Cena have one of the best rivalries in the past. Of course, Cena is leaving the WWE for a while, so it is certainly not a work for a rivalry in the making. At least, I don’t think so…
Of course, there were some subtle stabs in there, but it all seems to be in good fun. Besides, who would not want a limited edition John Cena 2K18 game with an action figure and signature? Enjoy that Rusev!
What Does This Mean for Us?
I must admit I nearly forgot 2K18 came out soon, despite having it on my to-buy list. However, after seeing Rusev appreciating his new Xbox version, I’m quite excited about it all and cannot wait to get my PC and PS4 version.
Recent reviews on the game have been overall positive. Still, there is one major thing that still bugs me about the game, which I don’t think they will fix within the next five years. If you have played the previous version quite extensively, you would definitely have noticed the poor customization for female wrestlers. Female wrestlers also look quite blocky and not close to the original. As a woman, I would like to play my career as a female wrestler, but this still seems to be missing from the game in a large part.
