There seems to be a lot of movement in the wrestling world recently. Is it because it is the end of the year or just that the wrestling landscape is evolving? A bit of both, honestly. A lot of contracts are up since the 2017 Fiscal Year just ended. FY2018 began October 1st. So a lot of talent is free of their contracts and free to move. We’ve seen this in WWE, and now we see it from a long-time Impact star, Rockstar Spud.
The Britsh pint-sized big-mouth has reportedly split from Impact “on good terms.”
more via ProWrestlingSheet:
Spud started with Impact in 2012 after winning the first season of their British Boot Camp series and became Dixie Carter‘s “chief of staff.” He went on to have a memorable feud with Ethan Carter III that ended in a hair vs hair match.
What’s Next For Rockstar Spud? Inside sources have some good ideas…
According to Ryan Satin and others, Spud might be on his way to WWE.

WWE may worry about Spud debuting as himself on the show as he hasn’t had a ton of US exposure. However, with AJ Styles, Bobby Roode, and others the WWE Universe showed it knew about wrestling outside of WWE. Still, it wouldn’t shock me if he started in NXT for a spell to get him further acquainted to the crowd.
Spud on 205 Live would be great. With Enzo Amore, Drew Gulak and others sprucing up the once fledging division, bringing in another unique mic talent would be just the ticket! There are also rumors that Hideo Itami is moving up to 205 Live soon.
The long-rumored UK show also needs a bit of personality added to it. Pete Dunne is the only WWE UK wrestler who has shown himself capable of sprouting a tv-worthy charisma. Bringing Spud in would up the talent level significantly.
All of these rumored changes kind of make the Neville move seem even more puzzling. If WWE is planning to invest real talent into the division why leave when you’re the top guy in the group? Obviously, we don’t have all the answers, and this is all still speculations, but maybe this will help bring Neville back?
