Ric Flair Admits Fears He ‘Could Be Next’ Following the Death of Hulk Hogan

In a recent interview, Ric Flair admitted that he now has growing fears about his own mortality following the passing of fellow WWE and WCW legend Hulk Hogan.

In the days since, legends and current stars have offered up public condolences, thoughts, and favorite memories about “The Immortal” Hulk Hogan. One of them is one of his greatest rivals, fellow WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair. The 16-time world champion was on Ariel Helwani’s podcast recently and was asked about his contemporaries’ passing.

While offering up his opinion on why he died, “The Nature Boy” revealed a surprising thought about new fears that his days on Earth could be numbered.

“I think he just got tired. Eleven back operations, hip replacements, and now a neck surgery. I mean, how much can your body take?” he said. “We’ve all put ourselves in a ridiculous position in the business. But here I am, and I’m five years older than Hulk, and I don’t hurt at all. I’ve had some serious health issues, but I don’t have an ache or pain in my body. It bothers me, and of course, it gives me anxiety that I could be next.”

Flair turned 76 in February and has survived kidney failure, multiple heart attacks, skin cancer twice, and a plane crash during a career that spanned five decades.
