Ric Flair is starting to have more retirement matches than anyone. In an interesting tidbit from his last one, he apparently fell asleep during the match.
Ric Flair Admits To Falling Asleep During Final Match
When it comes to legends in pro wrestling, there are a good amount. Then, when asked to narrow that number down, it becomes a challenge.
Typically, Ric Flair makes the cut. The biggest issue with his career is not knowing when to retire.
At WrestleMania 24, he lost to Shawn Michaels and that was supposed to be the end of his career. In fact, WWE held an emotional segment the next day to close RAW.

As a result of still wanting to go, Flair has taken part in several retirement matches. While speaking with Theo Von on This Past Weekend, Ric Flair admitted to falling asleep during his last match on July 31, 2022.
“I got out there and I felt great and all that and then I realized the anxiety,” said Flair. “I got light-headed. I actually fell asleep on the apron.”
“I’m standing and the guy had to go, ‘Ric! Ric!’ And I woke up and I got back in and then I did something else and I’m laying there and at the end, Manny, my son-in-law, is going, ‘you have to wake up, sir.”
“He was handing me the brass knucks to hit Jarrett with, right? So, he put the brass knucks in my hand, ‘you have to wake up, sir. You have to wake up, sir.’ Boom.”
On that night, Flair and Andrade El Idolo defeated Jay Lethal and Jeff Jarrett. Still, Flair has admitted how he is open to wrestling again.
At 74 years old and countless ailments as of late, retirement is what “The Nature Boy” needs.
So, have we witnessed the final match in the career of Ric Flair or will he be back inside the squared circle?
