To say it’s been a crazy last 18 months for him would be an understatement, and in the latest news, Vince McMahon had to pay back shareholders.

Sure, the boss has made quite a bit of money in 2023, on the heels of the sale of WWE to Endeavor.

He had to pay some of that back to WWE and now, he had to pay back shareholders.

One of his major issues last year was when it was determined that McMahon had used WWE corporate funds to pay hush money to a number of women.

That amount alone added up to $17.4 million.

Not chump change, even for someone who was about to sell his company for a huge sum.

Now, Wrestling Inc has reported that the chairman had to cough up an additional two million dollars.

According to an SEC filing, McMahon was required to cover legal fees for a pair of shareholders who sued the company over Vince’s shady dealings.

One part of the lawsuit involved McMahon’s dastardly re-writing of the bylaws which allowed him to reinstate himself.

Upon receipt of the suit, Mr. McMahon undid that change, ending that part of the suit.

Per the report, the SEC required McMahon to make the additional payment back in May.

And, that payment doesn’t even conclude the legal issues for the former owner of WWE.

We still wonder what is coming next, as he was raided over the summer just prior to his back surgery.

All of this happened as he was navigating the sale of WWE to UFC parent company Endeavor and forming a brand new holdings group, TKO.

There is still a chance, depending on what happens, that the remaining legal issues actually do see him exit once again…but this time, he won’t have a path back.
