Matt Riddle was written off storylines recently with an “injury” thanks to an attack from Solo Sikoa. Reports have surfaced stating he actually failed two drug tests and is now in rehab. A tweet from an ex-girlfriend has now confirmed this.
Matt Riddle In Rehab Confirmed
Riddle recently dated adult film star Jordan Maxx. During a Twitter thread, she seemingly confirmed Matt’s current rehab situation.
INDUSTRY, and then, rather than keeping plans for Christmas and NYE, he’s going to rehab?
Do you have any idea how confusing and hurtful that is? (2/2)

As you can see in the above post, she replies to a user who has confirmed that Riddle left her for another adult film star, Misha Montana. She also confirms that Matt is in rehab.
Matt Riddle In Rehab Confirmed – More On This Story
As per a report, Riddle has a child custody agreement with his ex-wife Lisa, where his “routine” WWE wellness policy lab tests would be sent directly to her. On June 3rd, she moved to hold Matt in contempt of court because he had not complied with these terms.
While there was a hearing on this in November, the case’s court docket has not been updated as of yet. Riddle did hop on to Twitter the next day, noting it was a “rough day”.
It’s been reported that Riddle failed his second WWE Wellness Policy test and was suspended. If he is in rehab, he’s likely in the best place to get the help he needs.
The Miz has incredible mic skills. But could anyone see him in a non-wrestling role with the WWE?
WWE’s Initial Plans For The Miz
As most fans know, The Miz entered Tough Enough in 2004, following a run on MTV’s The Real World. While he didn’t with the competition, he did impress WWE officials enough to be granted a developmental contract.
During a recent chat with Off The Beat with Brian Baumgartner, the former WWE Champ notes the company’s original plans for him. He states the powers that be wanted him to be a commentator.
Joey Styles brought the Miz up with Michael Cole and Todd Grisham to do a take in this role. He reveals the WWE wanted him as either a commentator or interviewer.
The Miz Pleads His Case
The Miz went on to state that he pleaded his case with the WWE to be an in-ring talent. They replied they viewed him as a “personality”.
Still, Miz remained persistent. He notes that he told them he could be “bigger” than The Rock and Hulk Hogan.
At the end of the day, the WWE caved and The Miz headed to Deep South Wrestling in 2005. The rest, as they say, is history.
The following year, Miz moved up to Ohio Valley Wrestling. By the time the summer hit in 2006, he was on SmackDown.
Over the years, The Miz has pretty much “done it all” in the WWE. He’s been WWE Champion, twice, and main evented WrestleMania 27.
He’s also been Intercontinental Champion (8 times), U.S. Champ (twice), held the WWE Tag Titles (8 times), won Season 1 of the Mixed Match Challenge (with Asuka), and was Mr. Money in the Bank for 2010.
What’s next for The Miz? Only time will tell!
