Popular cruiserweight Lio Rush admitted he may never wrestle again after his release from the WWE. In other news, Matt Riddle talks about his alleged backstage heat in NXT.
Lio Rush May Quit Wrestling
Former Cruiserweight Champion Lio Rush took to Twitter yesterday and admitted he may never wrestle again. The news did come out of nowhere, but that is how Rush handles himself.

It is unclear what Lio meant with his social media statement, although many people believe it relates to his recent release from the WWE. In other words, Lio believes his wrestling career is over after his release on the 15th of April.
While the statement could refer to something else such as an injury or him ending his wrestling career forever, it is most likely due to the current coronavirus crisis. Once the crisis is over, I am sure Lio will return to wrestling.
How Fans Reacted
Despite the panicking statement from Lio Rush, fans believe he still has a blossoming career waiting for him in the future.
Dude, I love you but knock it off. You’re insanely young. Once you get the stink of WWE’s terrible booking off of you you’ll be the hottest commodity in the business again.

So, Lio has the support of fans moving forward. Now, he only needs to get his confidence back.
Matt Riddle – Vince McMahon Meeting
There are countless claims that Matt Riddle is experiencing some incredible backstage heat. The problems have involved how he handles himself backstage.
Some think that Riddle does what he wants without any concern. Plus, he is great at taunting big names like Goldberg and Brock Lesnar.
Now, Matt Riddle responds to the rumors with Sportskeeda.
“I’ll tell you this. Do I have heat with WWE or NXT, or the people that run the show? No. Do I have heat with some people who think I’m disrespectful at times because they don’t understand how business works? Yes. Do people take things too seriously? Yes. And honestly, I’ve had to give talks at NXT, is not like I stopped the place, but it’s like, interjecting. I’m like, ‘Hey. I’m going to tweet or say something that offends you. Realize I’m not trying to actually offend you, I’m just trying to make people think I am. I’m putting out an image, a facade, you know?’
Is It Just A Case Of Kayfabe?
We do not think it is Kayfabe alone, because a later statement made by Matt Riddle seems to indicate he does have heat with some of the other wrestlers on the roster.
“I was in Vince McMahon’s office just three weeks ago, before this thing broke out,” Riddle continued. “I was in headquarters talking to him – and, yeah, we mentioned the heat I have with certain people but, at the end of the day, he signs the checks, he makes it happen for me and they’re in control, not the talent.”
“If employer’s happy and I can make them money and make them a profit, and I’m worth my weight and I’m pulling my weight, I don’t see a problem. To answer your question, yes, some people I have heat with. But most of it’s just high school, catty, “He said this”, people who just can’t take a joke or a work.”
Riddle refers to the heat with other talent as “high school drama.” So, he’s not taking it seriously or concerned about his issues backstage.
